Abstract
By inspecting the changes of rebar potential and corrosion current density, the corrosion rate of rebar embedded in concrete affected by slag and fly ash was studied. The experiment result showed that the rebar corrosion could be retarded by the separate addition of slag and fly ash which improved the resistance of concrete to chloride ion penetration. The change of steel potential coincided with the change of corrosion current density,so they could be used as the criterion for the state of rebar corrosion.
