Abstract

A method of rearing Spodoptera exigua Hubner is introduced. This insect species was reared for 8 generations. The average weight of pupae was 112.9 mg, the average rate of pupation was 97%, and the average rate of eclosion was 91.3%. The result showed that the method could be used to provide enough S. exigua for bioassay.
