Abstract
Data Warehouse and On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) are the key technologies in building Decision and Support System (DSS). Taking power system as a research background, this paper firstly analyses the deficiency of enterprise informatization, proposes the solutions for building DSS. Then briefly introduces basic concept, characteristics and architecture of Data Warehouse and OLAP. Finally, based on the loads of transformer in power system, the paper designs a DSS which can realize the designs of system architecture, Data Warehouse and OLAP. The DSS provides useful means for decision making in power system.
