Frege on Meaning and Truth

Abstract
People are misled by Frege's descriptions of meaning and truth condition,and he is regarded as one of the promoters of truth conditional theory of meaning.However,Frege does not equate the meaning of a sentence with its truth condition.His theory of meaning is based on the compositional rules which are concerned with how the meaning of a sentence is composed from meanings of its constituents.Therefore,it can be totally independent of his theory of truth.
