A study on prospecting deep copper deposit for the Kuoerzhenkuola gold district in the Sawuershan,Xinjiang

The Kuoerzhenkuola district is located in the eastern Sawuershan,the west-northern margin of the Zhungaer Basin,Xinjiang.The mineralizing environment was the island arc of the late Palaeozoic Era.The intermediate,intermediate-acidic volcanic-subvolcanic magmatism was frequent and strong.The volcanic breccia,cryptoexplosion breccia and volcanic apparatus very grew,which were favourable to the subvolcanic rock-type copper(cobalt) mineralization.The Kuoerzhenkuola gold deposit,Fujian Zijinshan and Taiwan Jinguashi copper-gold deposits all belong to the acidic sulfate type epithemal deposits,and the geological characteristics of the mineralization and the alteration also are similar.The study indicates that there are the geological conditions,which were formed the copper deposit, in the deep position of the Kuoerzhenkuola gold deposit,and prospects for finding the hidden copper deposit.
