Abstract
AIM: To find a immunologic enhancement polysaccharide from Cordyceps militaris L.Link. METHODS:The crude polysaccharide was isolated by extraction with hot water and ethanol precipitation. Polysaccharide was further purified by DEAE-32 ion-exchange chromatography and Sephacryl S-400 gel-filtration chromatography. Chemical composition analysis of polysaccharide was made by GC. The proliferation of lymphocytes was measured with MTT assay and the mouse peritoneal macrophages treated with polysaccharide. RESULTS: Polysaccharides are composed by mannitose, glucose and galactose (20.5∶71.7∶7.8).CPS activates mice splenic T cell enhanced and the activity of IL-1 is also increased. CONCLUSION: Cordyceps militaris. enhanced the cellular immune function in vitro.
