Abstract

Using Brassica napus cytoplasmic male sterile line Polima as the sterile source, and 6 flowing Chinese cabbage varieties as recurrent parents, the author studied the transfer breeding by crossing and backcross. We obtained some new cytoplasmic male sterile lines after four generations' plant selection and backcross, the economic traits of these sterile lines were similar to those of their recurrent parents, and their average rate of male sterile plants was 89.4%.Among them, the cytoplasmic male sterile line whose recurrent parent was 80-day-old Teqing had the best performance, and its rate of male sterile plants reached to 98%,which had basically achieved the breeding goal of cytoplamic male sterile line in flowering Chinese cabbage.
