Relationship between Energy Consumption and Economic Growth in Henan Province

Taking Henan Province for an example,a relationship model between energy consumption and economic growth is established in terms of C-D production function including capital,labor and energy.Then the effect of energy consumption on GDP is analyzed by using cointegration and Granger causality test.The results indicate that there exists long-term equilibrium relationship between energy consumption and economic growth and there is only unidirectional Granger causality relations running from energy consumption to economic growth;however,the improvement of labor level is the most influential one among those factors affecting economic growth.
