Abstract
Objective:To study the application value of fibrin glue in preventing seroma, hematoma and wound infection in chest-wall reconstruction. Methods: Seventeen cases of chest-wall reconstruction with pectoralis major flap who were used fibrin glue during the surgery served as the experimental group. The control group were twenty-three cases retrospective selected without fibrin glue used. Results: The drainage of experimental in the first, second, third day and the extubation time the length of stay after surgery were obviously lower than that of the control group. Conclusions: The application of fibrin glue in the chest-wall reconstruction can reduce the wound exudation, prevent seroma and hematoma of the wound, and shorten extubation time and length of stay.
