Abstract
The composite material of nano Al 2O 3 and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) was made by the process of pressing and sintering. Effect of nano Al 2O 3 on the friction and wear characteristic of PTFE plastic was studied. At the same time, the hardness of PTFE was measurated in sclerometer. The results showed that nano Al 2O 3 not only decreased the friction coefficient of PTFE, but also greatly reduced the wear of PTFE. And the hardness of PTFE was improved. It proposes the idea of enrichment and re inset in friction and wear surface.
