Abstract
This paper introduces the concepts of denial of service(DOS) attack and distributed denial of service(DDOS) attack ,analyzes the principle of DDOS attack technology,discusses some main tools and the countermeasures of DDOS attack in detail. Finally, it provides some countermeasures to defend against DDOS attack in order to reduce the bad effect.
