The clinical curative effect of vital pulpotomy of exposed pulp of permanent anterior teeth with fracture of crown

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of vital pulpotomy of exposed pulp of permanent anterior tooth with fracture of crown due to trauma.Methods Forty cases(55 exposed pulp of permanent anterior tooth with fracture of crown due to trauma)were performed vital pulpotomy and temporarily sealed with Zinc Oxide-eugenal cements after primacaine local anesthesia.They were examined with the pulp vigor and X-ray after one week,one month,three months,and every six months after operation respectively to record the healing condition of the pulp section,the development of roots,the root canals and periradicalar conditions.Results The detine bridge image became integrity with the dental cervix as the pulpotomy site after three months,with the successful rate of 81.8%.Meanwhile,the pedo-develop dental roots all continued to grow up.On the contratry,there was no manifest image of dentine bridge with the central region as the pulpotomy site.And we found breakage of the periapex oisteone as anormaly observation.Conclusion We should preserve more dental pulp when dealing with exposed pulp of young permanent teeth with fracture of crown to utilizate the function of vital pulp and make the dental roots continue to develop,and choose dental cervix or root canal orifice as the pulpotomy site.
