About the Author and the Characteristics of Confucius' Discussion of Book of Songs on Bamboo Slips Collected in Shanghai Museum

Abstract
Through comparing Confucius' Discussion of Book of Songs (孔子诗论) on bamboo slips collected in Shanghai Museum to those books handed down, this paper argued:Firstly, the bamboo Confucius' Discussion of Book of Songs paid much more attention to affection(情), which was equal to aspiration(志) in the famous sentence Poetry were composed to express the author's aspiration(诗言志),and which was also unified to rites(礼); Secondly, the bamboo Confucius' Discussion of Book of Songs divided poems in Book of Songs into levels according to their aesthetic realm and aesthetic process. And these comparison studies also proved that the author of this bamboo essay should be Gao Chai(高柴), one of Confucius' students.
