Effects of Different Varieties and Sowing-date on Growth ang Yield of Direct-seeding Late Rice

The effects of varieties and cultivation techniques on late rice were studied.The results showed some continuous cropping late rice varieties were adaptable to the area of Dongting Lake plain in Hunan province,such as Liangyou 287,Zhuliangyou 30 and Zhuliangyou 08.The yield of late rice was decreased with the sowing date being delayed,and the experiment discovered that the best sowing date of late rice was from July 9 to July 15.The yield of late rice would decreased and the safety full heading would be affected if the sowing date was delayed.
