Abstract

Objective:To study the experience in the management of deep burn on the back of hand. Methods:Early escharectomy or tanˉgential excision with skin grafting, skin grafting after granulation formation by decrustation and both methods simultaneously were employed to treat burn wounds according to the injury state of muscle tendon and bone in the wound.Results:Among65hands in44patients with hand burn,34hands in20cases recorved function very well(52.3%),15hands in10cases recovered function well(23%),but16hands in14cases suffered fromdysfunction(24.7%).Conclusion:Different methods were employed differently according to the injury state of deep tissue.Satisfectory results could be achieved.
