Abstract

The chromosomal karyotype analysis of Asparagus officinalis L.was conducted by software Photoshop. The results showed that its chromosomal number was 2n = 20,and the karyogram formula was K(2n) =2X =2n=20=14m(2SAT)+6sm,the karyogram belonged to the type of 2A,and it was asymmetric and relatively primitive. This method of karyotype analysis by software Photoshop is practical, economical and reliable, hence valuable to application.
