Abstract

Because of the service lifetime of offshore platform and the risk of development investment , polymer flooding in offshore oilfield should be attention to early time.In allusion to offshore oilfield development characteristics , the injection time , feature of pressure squeezing , injection pattern and development effect of early polymer flooding were studied with reservoir engineering and numerical simulation. The results show that the combination of earlier and proper injection of low concentration of polymer solvent and injection of high concentration of polymer solvent is used in polymer flooding , which is in contrary with the traditional mode of land-oilfields , it is for the purpose of advancement of injection time and maintaining high velocity of production from low to high concentration combination system. The early polymer injection pattern is used in L Oilfield , the production velocity has been maintained in about 3% , by which higher production capacity is kept in the oilfield. It is proven that it is feasible for carrying out early polymer flooding and its oil development pattern in offshore oilfields.
