Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence and influence factors of dyslipidemia among residents in Wuxi city. Methods A Total of 2 102 persons aged over 35 years were invited to participate the investigation with multi-stage random cluster sampling.Diet survey with SQFFQ,meanwhile, physical examination, laboratory testing(total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, triglycerides) were conducted for them, and the data were made statistical analysis. Results The prevalence rate of dyslipidemia for residents over 35 years in Wuxi was 43.86%,and hypertriglyceridemia was the leading category. The prevalence rate of dyslipidemia in rural area(47.3%) was higher than that of urban area(40.6%),and it was highest for residents ages ranged from 55-64 years old.Intakes of eggs, milk, beans and fruits in patient group were significantly lower than those in control group, while intake of oil was opposite(P0.05).The prevalence rate of dyslipidemia for groups of obesity, overweight and hypertension was significantly higher than that of control groups(P0.001).Conclusion The prevalence rate of dyslipidemia in Wuxi is a higher level, and dyslipidemia showed a younger trend, dyslipidemia is closely related to obesity and hypertension. There are risk factors and protective factors in diet.Suitable health education should be proposed to improve dietary pattern and strengthen physical activity to control the epidemiology of dyslipidemia.
