Abstract
Because pipe jacking inevitably results in disturbances of the surrounding soil, causing ground movement, thereby threatening the safety of nearby underground pipeline. Based on the rectangular pipe jacking con-struction of a subway station export municipal channel, the interaction between underground pipelines and soil is analyzed; the distributions of stresses and displacements of the pipeline are discussed; its failure mechanism is sum-marized, and the corresponding control measures are described.
