Abstract

From among the many lyrical verses on Jinling of Tang and Song Dynasties, the author has in this article selected three pieces respectively written by Ouyang Jiong, Wang Anshi and Zhou Bangyan and offers an analytical appreciation from the perspectives of lexicology, syntax, structure, writing technique, artistic conception and style. Based upon textual research, the author gives his opinion concerning the division of paragraphs and sentences of the selected pieces. Some of the sentences have been explained in a new way according to linguistic structure principles. The author has also shed new light on the meaning of the three pieces.
