Abstract
The ability of fuel economy with reduced emissions for hybrid electric vehicle strongly depends on their powertrain. In order to match the powertrain that operates efficiently on the target driving cycle, the popular theoretic matching method is analyzed.According to simulation results with forwards simulation platform of Cruise from AVL,the powertrain matched with the theoretic matching method is able to meet the requirements of economic performance, but is not able to meet the requirements of the target driving cycle. The matching method based on driving cycle proposed in this paper not only meets requirements of the dynamic performance, but also operates efficiently on the target driving cycle.
