Abstract

The N-isonicotinamidosalicylaidimine Schiff base(H2L)was synthesized by the reaction of salicylaldehyde with isonicotinyl hydrazide, and its cooper(Ⅱ) complex [Cu(NO3)HL]·2H2O was prepared, where H2L= C13H11O2N3.The ligand and complex were characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectra,UV-Vis,thermoanalysis and conductivity.
