The Third Interpretation of the “Physical Education”: “Education in the Physical”

The third interpretation,education in physical,of educationhas been showed up after two interpretations which are of the physicaland through the physical. In order to explore the education concept,social context and time significance of proposing in the physical,this study divided this interpretation into three parts and analyzed it by the methods of literature review,history study and comparative study,and also this study explained the education concept,value orientation and its effects on human,finally this study summarized the meaning and improvement of in the physicaland provided its three translations in Chinese for further researchers. This study revealed that educationwas explained and understood by American society under the background of social development and the times change.Education in the physicalincludes the meaning and concept of holistic education and spirit. The results provided theoretical and practice references for guiding goal,value orientation and idea of school physical education's reform and development in China.
