Abstract
The current situation and the advancement research of turbidity current deposit and turbidity sand are introduced in this paper.Through the particular analysis of existing classifications, this paper adopts Wu Chong-jun's proposal that shows practicality and advantage.By amending Wu Chong-jun's proposal and combining all kinds of conditions that can affect the spread of sand bodies in Binxian uplift,it is reasonable to classify turbidity sand into four types, which are nearshore subaqueous fan, infralittoral turbidity fan,deep-water delta-front slump turbidity fan and lenticular turbidity sand body.Taking Binxian uplift as an example, both sedimentary characteristics and geophysical properties of turbidity sand in continental lacustrine basins are studied and recognition methods, distribution regularities of turbidity sand are summarized.Sedimentary genetic model is established in this paper.
