Abstract

AIM: To continue to study the anticancer constituents of EtOAc soluble fraction of the MeOH extract from the twigs of Chaenomeles sinensis (Thouin) Koehne METHOD: Compounds were isolated by silica gel columns, preparative TLC and HPLC,and their structure were identified by the physical and chemical characters especially by the spectral analysis RESULT: Seven compounds were isolated and the structure of them were identified as lup-20(29)-en-3β,24,28-triol (1),2α-hydroxyursolic acid (2),euscaphic acid(3),tormentic acid(4),lyoniresinol-9′- O -β- D -glucopyranoside(5),avicularin (6),and (-)epicatechin(7)respectively CONCLUSION: Compounds 1~6 were isolated from the Chaenomeles genus for the first time
