Abstract
Aiming at the complexity of blade shape and the difficulty of solid modeling for Francis turbine,a new method is proposed to establish the 3D modeling of blade on the basis of 2D wood pattern drawing of Francis turbine blade by means of UG software to draw lines from points, draw surfaces from lines. The method of similar streamline is proposed to handle the unsmooth issue on blade modeling.Under the precondition of unchanged the date points of blade, the smooth and accurate blade model is built to provide conditions for following performance forecast of flow and calculation analysis of rigid strength.
