Abstract
The purpose of software safety assessment is to evaluate whether software has satisfied the safety requirements of system, therefore,it has very important significance to ensure and verify software safety. For the method of software safety assessment, its development process, advantages and disadvantages are described, and the reasons for promoting its development are analyzed. The required data, safety parameters, assessment objects and application stages of all kinds of safety assessment methods are summarized, and its existing problems are analyzed. Finally, two suggestions for the future research of software safety assessment method are proposed, hoping to provide the reference for other peers and promote further development of this research field.
