On the Absence of Feminine Discourse Right Reflected from the Defeats of Marriage Breakthrough——Comments on the Image of Scarlett in Gone with the Wind

By analyzing the three defeats of Scarlett’s marriage breakthrough, the author intends to prove that Scarlett in Gone with the Wind doesn’t topple the order of the male discourse, and still remains to be a female who lives under the control of male, far away from being a female-centered leader. In the male-dominated society, females which exist as noumena are lack of discourse right, and they always act as otherness in the presence.
