Discussion on improvement of teaching methods in "data structure" course

The Data Structure is one of the professional basic courses in computer specialty.It discusses the most basic problems in computer science and technology,and has an important position in computer education.It is very Abstract,so is difficult to understand the importance of data structure course and meaning of algorithm for students if only use traditional theory teaching.Based on the current status,problems and shortcoming of data structure teaching,this paper gives teaching methods:integrating theory with practice and paying attention to experimental teaching.The improvement of teaching methods made students to study from passive to active and stimulated the student's interest through case-based teaching and heuristic teaching.At the same time,the method of experiment reform increased student's practical ability and achieved objective of teaching.Practice shows that the teaching method is more conducive to increase learning efficiency and to develop student's programming capability.
