Abstract

Sample pretreatment, extraction, cleanup, detection method, quantification and quality control of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in sediments were discussed, and current pollution status and characteristics of PBDEs both in China and foreign countries was summarized. Finally proposals were recommended to improve the further study of PBDEs.
