Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of the reasonable nourishment method on patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Methods:Sixty patients with SAP were randomly divided into two groups: total parenteral nutrition (TPN) group and parenteral nutrition (PN) combined with enteral nutrition (EN) group. The nutritional index such as HGB, TP, ALB, was compared. The relative complications were recorded daily. Results: With regard to Nitrogen cumulative balances, albumin and hemoglobin levels and nitrogen equilibrium, EN+PN group was superior to TPN group (P 0.05). In EN+PN group, there were fewer complications. Conclusion: PN combined with EN can improve the immunity and maintain the intestinal mucosa barrier of patients with severe pancreatitis, and play an important role in treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis.
