Abstract
The Shiyaogou Gold Deposit in Henan Province is a medium-sized gold deposit,which was discovered in the Xiongershan-Waifangshan metallogenic belt in recent years.The regional geological background,mine geology,geological characteristics of ore deposit and ore genesis are studied in this paper.It is indicated that the main factors in mineralization are multi-period activities of Machaoying major fracture and multiple hydrothermal process especially the volcanic hydrothermal activity.The ore body is strictly controlled by Machaoying major fracture,and the ore genesis type is middle-low temperature hydrothermal structural altered rock type.The prospecting criteria and direction are analyzed,and recommendation is made for the future work.
