Milan Kundera and the Style of Polyphonic Fiction

The polyphony of fiction style plays an important role in the poetics of polyphonic fiction of Czech French novelist Milan Kundera. This paper traces back series of Kundera's views on the stylistic polyphony of fiction, and then points out that Kundera's theories and works on polyphonic fiction reflect his art ideas and one of the tendencies in contemporary fiction, i.e. the trans-style writing. From this, we can find Kundera's concepts about the history and future tide of fiction. As a self-conscious innovator, Milan Kundera leads us to understand the innovatory characters of the current literary forms.
