Abstract
Based on the features of integrity and comprehension in design of middle and small scale distillation column,the development and design of the distillation columns are discussed from the viewpoint of concept design,flow sheet plan,equipment structure,data collection and control,et al.Series distillation experiments to separate ethanol and n-propanol in atmosphere are introduced on a self-developed distillation plant with the computeraided data collection and control function.The overall tray efficiency,single tray efficiency,operating flexibility,profiles of the tray concentration and temperature and the mass transfer performance are systematically investigated.
