Abstract
Under the present raw materials conditions of Ansteel,by adding additives containing CaO and/or MgO flux to the iron ore,the effect of additives on reduction swelling of iron ore pellets was studied.The results show that CaO deteriorated the reduction swelling of iron ore pellet,the swelling of iron ore pellet is controlled by adding additives containing MgO,and it is reversed with the content of iron ore pellet.When the content of flux was 1%,the swelling index of pellets with addition of magnesium was lowest and 11.83%,it was lower 1.2% than basic pellet.The swelling index of pellets with addition of limestone was highest and 14.93%,it was higher 1.93% than basic pellet.
