Relationship between the superior vena cava syndrome and the original malignant diseases placement

Objective To analyze the main reasons and diseases placement which superior vena cava syndrome(SVCS) caused by malignant diseases and have a deeply understanding for SVCS.Methods 266 cases with SVCS caused by malignant diseases were analyzed retrospectively.Results Among the 266 cases,the rate of SVCS caused by right superior bronchial disease is 62.9%,and the next is the right superior mediastinum disease.The main pathology type is small cell lung cancer(SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Conclusions When diagnosing and following-up the right superior bronchial disease and right superior mediastinum disease,it's necessary to observe nearly if the SVCS is happened.SVCS should be diagnosed by clinical symptoms and radiology,and treated as soon as possible,so that the patients' survival and life quality could be better.
