Abstract
The adaptation of rural college students to urban life can be considered as the conflict and reform of rural culture and urban culture. In the face of the totally different urban life and culture, rural college students generally expect to adapt to urban life and become urban people. However, they don't think they have adjusted themselves to urban life, but think there are some obstacles between rural students and urban students. To confront with the gap and the maladjustment, rural students often adopt three methods: cultural adhesion, cultural suicide and seeking counterbalance, but all these may make rural students be disadvantaged. In order to get out of the dilemma, rural students should integrate rural and urban culture, instead of being assimilated into urban culture.
