Cultural Differences in Nonverbal Communication

Today as globalization is an unavoidable tendency, we need cooperation between countries in different kinds of fields. Thus, misunderstandings might rise because of cultural diffe rences in the course of intercultural communication.This paper tries t o show the cultural differences in nonverbal communication through kine s ics, visual behaviors, facial expression, proxemics and paralanguage. The u ltimate goal of this paper is to improve the awareness and let us h ave a better understanding of cultural differences between countries in the aspect of nonverbal communication so as to help smooth our comm unication barriers with people of different background.
