Clinical analysis of retinal detachment after implantation of intraocular lens with intact posterior capsular

Objective AIM To analyze the clinical characteristics, pathogenic factors and surgical Methods in patients with retinal detachment after implantation of intraocular lens with intact posterior capsular.Methods Data from 21 patients with retinal detachment after implantation of intraocular lens with intact posterior capsular from Jun, 2004 to Jun, 2007 was retrospectively analyzed.Results 16 case underwent vitrectomy, while 5 cases were treated with sclera buckling. After 8 months to 2 years follow-up, retinal reattachment was observed in 19 cases, and visual acuity was improved more than 1 line in 15 cases.Conclusion Patients with implantation of intraocular lens should be followed-up regularly. It is important to choose correct surgical methods for saving patients’ vision.
