Abstract

EMMPRIN exists widely in all human tumor cells, which can stimulate the increased synthesis of matrix metalloproteinase of fibroblast related to tumor and tumor cell themselves, and then change the component of basilar membrane and extracellular matrix ,which can play an important role in the tumor invasion and metastasis. This article reviews the role of EMMPRIN in the genesis and development of tumor.
