Preliminary Study on the Characters of Leafy Shoot of Hybrid Cotton with Seedling Transplanting System in Southern Xinjiang

Abstract

The effects of different plant density on the length of leafy shoot at 1-9 node orders,the seed cotton weight of leafy shoot and the leafy shoot number of cotton variety Tianza No.26 were studied with the cultivation patterns of bare root seedling transplanting and plug seedling transplanting.The results showed that the seed cotton weight of leafy shoot per plant and effective leafy shoot number decreased with the increasing of plant density with two cultivation patterns,which decreased larger with plug seedling transplanting.
