Effect of Zyflamend on proliferation and apoptosis of Tca83 cells

Objective To investigate the effect of Zyflamend on the proliferation and apoptosis of Tca83 cells.Methods Tca83 cells were treated with 0.01 to 1μl/ml Zyflamend for 72 hours.The cell proliferation was measured by MTT assay and the apoptosis examined by flow cytometry (FCM) and annexin V-FITC/PI staining.Results Zyflamend,at a concentration of 0.1,0.5 and 1μl/ml,inhibited the growth of Tca83.The inhibition effect was dose-dependent.AnnexinV-FITC/PI assay showed that a part of Tca83 cells were at the late stage of apoptosis at 24 and 48h when Zyflamend ′s concentration was 0.25μl/ml(P0.01).Conclusion Zyflamend can inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of Tca83 cells.
