Study On VMI System of Acrylonitrile In an Acrylic Fiber Company

Abstract

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI )has been applied widely in some discrete manufacturing industries such as Auto industry, electronic industry, etc. But VMI is seldom applied and researched in process manufacturing industries such as chemical industry. This paper takes an Acrylic Fiber plant for example to discuss how to perform VMI. Furthermore, a scheme of VMI is presented in this paper, and we hope it is helpful for process manufacturing industry.
