The Study on Disparity of Regional Economic Development in Jiangxi Province-Based on Shift-Share Method

The industrial structure is an important factor that determines the quality and effectiveness of regional economic development.This article chooses the 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi province for research units,and adopts shift-share method to calculate the share components of structure and competition about the GDP of the three industries from 2000 to 2008.Then extract the advantage and disadvantage information on industrial structure and competition in each area,in order to discuss the relationship between industrial structure and the development of economic in Jiangxi province.The result is that the industry structure of Jingdezhen,Pingxiang,Jiujiang and Nanchang is a kind of structure that has some benefit for economic development,and Xinyu and Yingtan have certain advantages in competition.The secondary industry plays an important role in promoting the development of economic in Jiangxi and the leading role of the tertiary need to be strengthened.The disparity of competition in the three industry of different area is obvious.
