Effects of Different Functional Leaves on Grain of Compact-type Wheat

In order to study the effects of different functional leaves on the grain of compact-type wheat,the photosynthesis efficiency,chlorophyll content of different functional leaves,and 1000-grain weight in different leaf-cutting treatments of compact-type wheat varieties Gaoyou 503,Zhengmai 004 and Jimai 20 were measured.The results were as follows: the chlorophyll content in the flag leaf and backward second leaf was more than that in the backward third leaf;the photosynthesis efficiency revealed the following trend: flag leaf backward second leaf backward third leaf;the flag leaf had greater impacts on vigorous grain and weak grain.The effect of different functional leaves on vigorous grain showed the following order: flag leaf,backward third leaf backward second leaf,while that on weak grain had the following order: flag leaf backward third leaf and backward second leaf.
