Abstract

Point and interval estimations of the achieved system MTBF,which are given by some literatures during the resrarch of Weibull process, are conservative. For the failure and time truncated tests, the estimations, which are very close approximation to the true values of the achieved system MTBF,are derived in this paper.Based upon the observed test data, the prediction estimations of the achieved system MTBF at some future time are given by using Gompertz MTBF growth model.
