Abstract
Objective To morphologically observe the changes of corneal tissue a long period after myopic LASIK with confocal microscopy. Methods 60 patients(118eyes) from March 2006 to March 2007,who had undertook LASIK in our hospital, were involved in present study. The confocal microscopy was employed to examine the changes of cornea tissue. The average spherical equivalence was-2.75 ± 9.12 D.The average of the patients was 23.8 ± 38.2(ranged from 18 to 37).Results There was no significant difference between pre-and post-operation keratocytes in anterior stroma inquantitatively(F = 1.76,P 0.05).The density of high reflective particles decrease significantly with time. The appearance of morphology of subbasel corneal nerve fiber bundles after operation recovered. Conclusion Morphologic changes were found incentral cornea.Acellular area,micro-folds as well as variously reflectivity particles located at the interface in all eyes existed in the central cornea for long time.
