Abstract
Taking corncob as raw material, taking reducing sugar and total sugar as index, the effect of physical and chemical factors pretreatment on hydrolysis saccharification of corncob was studied. The optimum process conditions were that the corncob was steamed with 0.2% HCl solution at liquid-to-solid ratio 10∶1 at 121 ℃ for 20 min.As a result, the yield of reducing sugar and total sugar could be up to 21.18% and 29.70%(based on corncob in raw material) respectively.High temperature and long steaming time have more effect on the yield of reducing sugar and total sugar. With NaOH method, the content of reducing sugar was low and the yield of xylan was high,it has less effect on xylan hydrolysis, whereas with HCl and H2SO4 method, the yield of monosaccharide content and total sugar are both high.
