Abstract
The roller compacted asphalt concrete is the material widely used in asphalt concrete core wall.In the mix design, the single-doped artificial sand method is used too much, but its cost is higher. Here,by using the method for mixing the artificial sand and natural sand, the mechanical properties of the asphalt concrete are tested. The results show that the mechanical properties of the asphalt concrete from sand-mixing test could not only meet the requirments of the mix design, but also reduce the cost of asphalt concrete to a certain extent.
