Abstract
Detachment fault were closely associated with detachment fold and they formed the detachment structure together in caprock of platform which is a part of Yangtz platform. The detachment fault were formed in the weak-lubricant layer in the platform caprock. The detachment structure slops lightly in backside,is steepened gradually frontward and reversed even. Its strike is consistent with strata and is varied greatly. The styles of the detachment structure are short antiform and synform structure mainly, and dome structure, nappe outlier and nappe tectonic window too.The detachment fault is good prospecting targets for hypogenic hydrothermal deposit. The detachment fault is formed in Mesozoic era,has folding deformation and good engineering geological environment.
